A total of some 4,300 natural gas vehicles were newly registered in the first half of this year. That is 1,200 more new vehicle registrations than over the same period last year. According to erdgasmobil, a key driving force behind this growth has been the VW eco up!, which has been available on the market since fall 2012. Besides, with the introduction of other best-selling models, such as the VW Golf TGI, Audi A3 g-tron, or the Mercedes-Benz B 200 NGD, this positive trend is expected to continue.
