Among the public transport operators who have acquired the Golden Dragon vehicles are included Empresa de Transportes Copacabana (with a fleet of 30 12 meter-length buses) Sara Sara SA (with a fleet of 18 NGVs), and the company Pegaso (with 20 buses powered by CNG).
As published by Maquinaria Stock magazine, these natural gas powered buses were designed for urban transportation in Lima, offering up to 70 percent savings in fuel consumption.
It is worth mentioning that CNG supply in Lima and Callao is fully guaranteed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mines. Moreover, the Peruvian Chamber for Natural Gas Vehicles reported that converted vehicles exceed currently in force Euro III standards and even the Euro IV standards that are about to be issued.
