As the official revealed some days ago, there will be subsidies for gasoline powered vehicles conversions to natural gas. In order to achieve adding 40,000 NGVs per year, the Ministry of Energy and Mining will work together with Ministry of Transport and Communications and municipalities to run promotion campaigns and meet the objectives.
“We want to encourage the change, along with Bono Chatarreo program, for example, and we are going to evaluate different methods in this sense,” said Merino, as reported by Andina news agency. He added that the national government plans to search for allies in the private sector to achieve the goals.
