The regional director of Repsol Butano in Galicia and Asturias César Joral Badás and Ramón Perez Seijas, on behalf of the company Pérez Rumbao, signed a collaboration agreement to promote the use of LPG-powered vehicles. They plan to encourage the commercialization of these vehicles among the brands distributed by Pérez Rumbao.
The energy company offers this alternative fuel at 14 refueling stations of Galicia, three located in Ourense, and at ten facilities for individuals or skids. In 2015, they expect to reach 20 stations in the region. In Spain, there are about 37,000 propane vehicles, of which 2,200 operate in Galicia and 300 in Ourense.
Thanks to their bifuel technology, these cars are equipped with two tanks, one with gasoline and one with LPG, which the driver can use interchangeably. They offer the same performance as a conventional vehicle, but its ride is smoother, quieter and with no vibration.
