Scania presented a balance sheet for the first half of 2021, with a focus on the Sales and Services Department. Within the framework of the 2020-2022 Triennial Plan, which foresees an investment of 45 million dollars in its factory and in its network of dealers, the company explained that its levels of customer service, as well as its sales, achieved very good results.
Regarding the commercialization of trucks, 770 units were sold. Moreover, the Green Efficiency Line vehicles also had a very good impact, since 50 orders for natural gas trucks were generated in the first half of 2021, and another 50 are expected to be completed before the end of the year.
“We were able to verify the efficiency of the Demo Trucks program, which allows customers to carry out tests in real operating situations with vehicles from the Green Efficiency range”, said Fernando Ríos, Sales Director of Scania Argentina. “After carrying out 40 tests with CNG trucks in different parts of the country, 70% of those clients decided to purchase one or more units, which confirms the savings due to the type of fuel and the reduction in operating costs that these more eco-friendly vehicles guarantee.”
Regarding the service network, Scania confirmed that the high occupancy levels are being resumed in the different dealerships in the country, since they have 28% more average hours of service than last year. Likewise, works are being carried out to expand the network and strategically relocate service centers in key areas of the country, such as Patagonia and the Cuyo region.
Another relevant reported data has to do with the Fleet Management System: there are already 15,160 connected vehicles in Argentina with access to vehicle, driver and maintenance service management; that are part of the 500,000 units that Scania has connected globally.
