Meanwhile, Transportes de Murcia has invested nearly € 2 million in the new complex, which is located in the Transport Integrated Center set for the maintenance of the bus fleet that provides urban transport service in the city.
Within the facilities, a building of 604 square meters has been constructed, of which almost 400 m2 are used by a workshop and other offices. In addition, a large parking area for buses with a capacity to home around 40 vehicles has been established.
The complex also features a natural gas compression and refueling station that supplies the fleet, allowing Murcia to further advance in sustainability policies, especially in the clean energy field.
The entire bus fleet, which currently consists of 28 vehicles, is powered by compressed natural gas and will refuel on site, allowing CO2 emissions reduction of up to 375,000 kilograms.
