According to local newspapers, the orders at workshops are growing day by day. A survey published these days informed that the installation of a kit costs between 500 and 900 dollars, depending on the vehicle.
Not only the decision to rise the prices of liquid fuels and freeze the cost of CNG at fuelling stations but also the plan implemented by the national government in order to convert public transport vehicles to natural gas for free, have made possible the upgrading of workshops in major cities. The aim is to start working on an industrial scale, dividing facilities into three categories: lower, medium and industrial ones.
Recently, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy Luis Fernando Vincenti reported that it is expected that 80,000 vehicles will operate on CNG next year.
