Commercial operations in all Metropolitano’s sections began on October 2, so the route of the new public transport system in Lima has been completed, from Matellini terminal (district of Chorrillos) to Naranjal station (at the border between Independence and Comas districts).
Moreover, the Municipality of Lima will implement a new express service on the route from today on. Javier Cornejo, operations manager of Protransporte, said that 42 buses with capacity for 180 passengers were put into operation for this purpose, stopping at some stations in South Central and North stations.
Regarding the regular service, 102 vehicles are plying across the route. The buses stop at all stations along the road, Monday to Sunday, from 6 am to 10 pm.
