During an official ceremony broadcasted by national radio and television, Chavez stated: “If you have a car running only on natural gas, you will be completely entitled to free service at workshops. It includes works such as repairing damages, replacing tires, maintenance and changing oil and filters”.
This South American country has previously introduced a government regulation requiring that at least 30 percent of imported, manufactured or locally assembled vehicles should be equipped with a dual system of compressed natural gas and gasoline.
Currently, Venezuela represents the eighth world’s largest gas reserves, while the Government is developing an international certification process that would lead the country to fifth place.
