According to Duong Hong Thanh, deputy director of the municipal Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh, his staff would work closely with Viet Nam Petrolimex to establish more natural gas refuelling facilities and run more green buses in the city.
The vehicles, which cost VND1.8-VND2 billion (around USD 88,200 and USD 98,000) each one, will fuel at CNG filling stations based on the Ha Noi Highway in District Nº 9 and on Pho Quang Road in Tan Binh District, reported Vietnam News.
It is worth mentioning that the pilot program had been launched last year and the trial period with two CNG-powered buses was already completed.
