According to Bruce Oka, representative of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), the new MV-1 model is safer than existing cabs that lift the ramps backwards onto the vehicle.
The first Luxor’s order of these green vehicles will arrive in September, as it was reported by the local web site of the U.S. broadcaster ABC News.
This is not the country’s first firm to acquire that kind of taxis. Three months ago, a cab firm that provides its service in Connecticut introduced natural gas powered wheelchair-accessible vehicles to its fleet.
It is worth mentioning that the cutting-edge MV-1 model was introduced into the U.S. market with a national road show almost one year ago.
