Freight transportation in Argentina continues facing the problem of fuel shortages daily, as well as the constant increases in its cost. For this reason, it was decided to pursue new alternatives that do not affect the sector progress.
By means of this new technology, which has been developed locally, Andesmar Cargas and Esi Gas will contribute to improving the carbon footprint, taking into account that CNG reduces greenhouse gases emissions. One of the main benefits that these companies will achieve through this innovation is to develop the blue corridors concept, in order to cover Argentina’s major cities with natural gas powered trucks. At the same time, goods transported will be protected from diesel pollutant particles.
140 CNG refuelling stations in Mendoza and 1,880 facilities throughout the country make possible that these first tests may solve the problem.
