The project, which proposes to amend an article of the provincial Act 1284 referred to the car tax, highlights: All liquid fuels are toxic to a greater or lesser degree. It is a risk to health a lengthy exposure to liquid fuels, either for the skin or when inhaling the fumes. There is also a natural concern about accidental leaks from storage of petrol and diesel and effects on the water table.
Natural gas is not toxic or corrosive and will not contaminate groundwater aquifers. Its combustion does not produce toxic air pollutants. Therefore, taking into account that CNG is a clean fuel that can significantly improve environmental conditions and reduce urban pollution, it is pertinent that the provincial government takes a position on this and encourages its use.
