The VW Touran TSI 1.4 EcoFuel with DSG (dual clutch gearbox) secured first place in the categories “Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per kilometer driven”, “Noise” and “Amount and type of pollutants” and thus heads VCD’s survey 2011/2012 as the leader of the “Best 7-seater”.
Due to the turbocharger and a mechanical compressor, the 1.4-litre engine Touran did not only convinced for its dynamic 110 kW/150 hp CNG drive, but also impressed with a consumption of only 4.6 kg natural gas per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of just 125 g/km.
A total of nine vehicles from Volkswagen claimed this year in the list of environmentally friendly automobiles. Those models feature technologies like the “BlueMotion”, “TSI” and “EcoFuel”.
