For his part, the Secretary of Mines and Energy of the Government of Cesar Manuel Mejía declared that the acquisition of these latest generation vehicles means another step for the development of Cesar, a department that has been making significant investments to be at the forefront on infrastructure and sustainability issues.
In addition, Gases del Caribe will offer long-term fuel supply contracts with competitive prices for this new fleet. “At Gases del Caribe, we have been developing different strategies to stimulate the acquisition of these dedicated CNG vehicles in order to contribute to the improvement of air quality in Valledupar and the entire national territory,” said Mario Cuello, Deputy Manager of Distribution of Gases del Caribe.
“This is great news for Valledupar, as it joins cities such as Barranquilla, Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, Cali, among others, which already have more than 3,400 heavy vehicles with dedicated CNG system, including passenger transport, trucks, tractors and dump trucks.
