IVECO BUS was the big winner of a bidding process, through public auction, promoted by the Municipality of Valledupar, to supply 130 microbuses that will service local passenger transport. The vehicles will be built under the Daily Scudato 70C14G CNG model chassis, with the capacity to transport up to 25 passengers, by the Colombian company Superpolo, a partner of the automaker. Deliveries are expected to take place between June and August 2022.
For Danilo Fetzner, director of IVECO BUS for Latin America, in addition to working to exceed customer expectations, this order is of great importance for the automaker to expand its presence in the relevant Colombian market and reinforce sustainability as one of the main focuses of the brand strategy. “We have a portfolio of modern, versatile vehicles with proven durability to work in different operations in the passenger transport segment, whatever the mission and in any country,” he said.
The Daily Scudato 70C14G CNG, made in Italy, provides profitability for the operator, power, robustness, comfort for the passengers and fuel economy through the use of natural gas, with beneficial results for the environment.
“We are committed to the development of sustainable transportation, and this is becoming stronger in Latin America. Combining customer profitability with the reduction of polluting emissions is the right way to transport passengers and cargo,” added Fetzner.
