“For DHL, Mercedes Benz represents reliability. We have worked to improve our vehicle fleet, together with our environmental programs and our sustainability plan for 2020, which aims to cut 30 percent of CO2 emissions,” said Antonio Arranz, CEO of DHL Express Mexico.
The new fleet, aligned to the global “GoGreen” initiative, joins to the NGT vans delivered by the dealer Grupo Andrade in 2012, allowing a 64 percent reduction in emissions, which will save the equivalent of 9,157 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere by the end of the year.
This addition, representing an investment of $11 million, consolidates a successful partnership between DHL and Mercedes Benz with a comprehensive formula that includes the supply of new and greener vehicles and fleet technical support, through certified service shops and stores with OEM parts, dedicated exclusively to DHL throughout Mexico, reported Nación Transporte.
