The Dubai-based firm also confirmed that it is currently undergoing partnership negotiations with Emarat and EPPCO to install CNG filling points at stations across Dubai and Sharjah, as reported by Emirates 24|7.
“This is part of a wider initiative by the company to provide more sustainable and eco-friendly transportation services at local and regional levels according to the highest international standards,” general manager of Emirates Transport Mohammed Al Jerman stated.
Emirates Transport has already begun the conversion to CNG of 511 vehicles from Abu Dhabi police fleet and 1,700 local taxis. The company also plans to install CNG pieces of equipment on Dubai Police fleet of 2,000 cars and the Sharjah taxi fleet of 5,500 vehicles.
Earlier this month, Emirates Transport opened Dubai’s only ADNOC-certified CNG conversion workshop.
