After the conversion process has finished, the engine can run on both petrol and natural gas. “With the introduction of the CNG-powered C-Max, we can now offer a green car solution for our customers, who value its convenience, high-mounted seats, versatility and compact format,” Ford Sweden CEO Anna Müller said.
The development and conversion to natural gas propulsion is a Swedish project implemented by BRC Sweden AB in the city of Trollhättan. “One again Ford allowed us to incorporate another model in its portfolio. This is a good example of the quality we offer through the installation of components,” added Dennis Staaf, CEO of BRC Sweden AB.
The price of the C-Max Trend 1.6 CNG starts at 245,771 crowns (approximately USD 37,000) and it can be ordered from now. The natural gas powered Focus has been available since November 2012.
