After partnering with renowned coachbuilders Semat, Faun and Farid/Fassi, the company is offering different configurations for waste collection operations. With this lineup, Scania aims to demonstrate the strengths and flexibility of its chassis and its determination to catch more opportunities to increase its presence in the field of waste management.
The three types of equipment available are the P 280 DB6x2*4MNA with rear loading and powered by natural gas (with Semat chassis), the P 320 DB6x2*4MNB with rear loading (Faun chassis), and the P 360 DB6x2*4MNA with vertical loading (with Farid/Fassi chassis and assembled by Forez Bennes).
“Our work in partnership with bodybuilders is essential to illustrate our expertise in the field of refuse trucks,” said Pascal Crestin, product manager at Scania France. “With these three body types, we present a beautiful product lineup that matches the majority of the needs of local communities in the area of waste collection.”
To also meet all the environmental concerns of customers, one of the truck models is equipped with a Euro 6 gas engine offering 280 HP, which is already powering a truck fleet delivered to Veolia in June. With a smooth ride, lower noise and similar performance to diesel, Scania gas engines are particularly suitable for city operations.
