“Our nation’s long-term fuel solution will include a bundle of different technologies. Natural gas is one that is available today in the United States,” said Kevin F. Prihod, president & CEO of the DSC. “As a science museum we are thrilled to be able to showcase CNG vehicle technology as we take our programs out into the community.”
Along with the new CNG van, the science center will be developing a new Traveling Science program highlighting NGV technology that will debut next month. This program “is a fun, hands-on way to bring technology-based learning to the community and to inspire budding engineers and future designers,” said GM Chief Technology Officer Tom Stephens, who made the donations.
“On the Road with General Motors” is a 10,000 square-foot exhibit gallery featuring hands-on exhibits that illustrate the science, engineering and technology used in manufacturing, fuels, vehicle systems and infrastructure (roads, bridges and tunnels).
