Powered by the factory-fitted iGPI technology (intelligent Gas Port Injection) the bi-fuel car delivers best-in-class fuel efficiency of 31.79 km/kg in natural gas mode. With Celerio Green, Maruti Suzuki has strengthened its NGV portfolio and offers iGPI technology on six models, Alto 800, Wagon R, Ertiga, SX4 and Eeco.
“The Celerio has received overwhelming response from the market. The idea of introducing a bi-fuel CNG variant was to strengthen the brand and offer more fuel choices to the customer. We are confident that factory fitted iGPI technology on the Celerio Green will bring all the benefits to customers such as smooth drive and hassle-free maintenance and help us in expanding the Celerio brand,” said Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing).
The iGPI system ensures reliably high performance and seamless drive at par with gasoline variants. The presence of dual ECUs delivers optimum fuel quantity to engine, leading to consistent performance along with improved fuel efficiency. In addition, engineers have deftly built smart space in the boot to tuck the spare wheel alongside the CNG tank, adding comfort and ensuring easy access to the spare wheel when needed.
Moreover, Celerio Green has undergone rigorous tests during the course of development and scores high on safety and reliability like any other Maruti Suzuki vehicle. It also enjoys all the manufacturer’s standard warranty benefits and will be serviced across all MSIL service network.
