With this new fleet, the city will replace 8-meters long vehicles (line 4) and electric minibuses (line 5). “It’s time to replace them because their technology is outdated and expensive. In turn, natural gas engines have become more and more efficient in recent years, even from an environmental perspective,” said Cesena Mayor Paolo Lucchi.
Meanwhile, the Councilor for Mobility Maura Miserocchi explained that “as it is a very particular transport service, with about 12,000 users per month,” they considered characterizing the buses with pink edges to make them more recognizable. Also, they will bear the “Made in Cesena” slogan, conceived as part of the strategy to show the city’s technological capacity and its historic center.
