“With these three new vans incorporated we continue with the renewal of school transport service fleet, for which we have allocated almost € 600,000 over the last three years. This allows us to have seven clean buses, which form almost half of the sixteen city-owned that are providing service currently,” said Mayor Marco Filippeschi, during the press conference held on September 19 at Piazza XX Settembre.
Pisa Secretary of Environment Federico Eligi recalled that three other natural gas school vehicles had been purchased in 2009, which involve an investment of € 280,000, and another one last year.
Mayor Filippeschi added that Pisa Green City “is not a simply slogan but a city project that develops gradually.”
