The 34 vehicles will run exclusively on biomethane produced at Sydeme’s new plant Methavalor, which was designed to transform the waste brought by Iveco NGV fleet into electricity, hot water, renewable fuel and compost suitable for organic agriculture. Gnvert latest-generation, high-speed public filling station, providing both CNG and biomethane, will serve the fleet.
“By selecting Iveco, the European leader in NGVs, Sydeme has chosen to diversify from diesel with a technology which is the cleanest, the most multi-purpose and the most profitable,” said Clément Chandon, Product Director at Iveco France, regarding the partnership with the French company.
It is worth mentioning that the Cursor 8 natural gas engine of the Stralis truck is produced in the FPT Industrial (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) factory, located in Bourbon-Lancy (Saône-et-Loire). Moreover, Iveco currently has more than 80% of the CNG bus market share in France, all vehicles equipped with Cursor 8.
