The ‘green route’ trip was held on the road to the town of La Calera, near Bogota. The land covered during the journey included several steep slopes where vehicles showed optimal performance, El Espectador reported. After the tour, Gas Natural Fenosa also noted that there is a sufficient CNG station network to meet growing demand in Bogota and throughout Colombia.
“By making the equivalence between the price of a gallon of regular gasoline and the cubic meter of natural gas, savings for CNG consumers is about 54 percent,” said Rene Perea, commercial director of Gas Natural Fenosa.
Furthermore, the Spanish company announced it will allocate over US$ 8 million with Ecopetrol to fund a US$ 390 discount voucher for each client interested in installing the CNG kit in the vehicle. The commercial incentive took effect this week.
