Carmar Soluciones Logísticos, subsidiary of Pérez y Cía Group and specialized in transportation between the Peninsula and the islands, has presented its first service with a truck powered by natural gas.
This incorporation is part of the company’s strategy to reduce the environmental impact based on the total renewal of its fleet and replacement of its current diesel vehicles with more sustainable units.
The new CNG truck will work in delivery and collection on the island of Mallorca and will allow to completely eliminate sulfur emissions and reduce CO2 emissions by up to 25% compared to previous vehicles. In addition, it will make it possible to provide other collateral benefits both to customers and to citizens, such as, for example, reducing noise emissions by 50%.
Carmar is committed to sustainability and for the next few months it will continue to gradually implement the fleet renewal plan.
