The kit consists of filling valve, high pressure shut-off valve, pressure gauge, reducer, injector rail and nozzles. Electrical components have also been installed, as well as a 40-litre tank for the natural gas, El Colombiano reported. The fifth generation system provides high quality combustion and power generation and reduces power loss by 7 percent.
This project, which resulted in Tocancipá racetrack performance, was carried out by Nissan and ZNA’s dealer in Colombia together with NGV Motori, which is a multinational company that manufactures CNG conversion kits for vehicles.
Participating in this race has represented “competing side by side with cars which operate on conventional fossil fuel,” explained an executive from NGV Motori, which has already installed over 8,000 compressed natural gas kits in vehicles in Colombia.
