Moreover, a further objective by 2020-2025 is to have a fleet comprised entirely of electric and CNG/biomethane buses that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent, as part of the Île-de-France Urban Transport Plan.
Other decisions made by the Board include the acceleration of the current bus replacement program as well as the optimization of existing CNG facilities in the Île-de-France to benefit from developments in this sector.
According to Airparif data, the share of total emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) of urban buses is 5 percent in the Ille de France and 8 percent in Paris.
