General Manager of the Caja Metropoliana Company Julio Lazo Manrique said that, in this way, the entity meets the aim set out last year. In addition, he announced that this year 5,000 CNG cars will be delivered, according to the information published in Municipality of Lima’s web site.
Manrique also explained that the “Metropolitan Taxi” is a program designed to improve the quality of life and intends to change the energy grid of Lima’s fleet. During the ceremony were the CNG vehicle number 1,000 (Kia A6S-642) was presented, other taxi drivers also got their brand new CNG cars and many others received complete tool kits for their vehicles.
The Caja Metropolitana’s Fair known as I GNV Expo Transporte 2010 will be held from the 21th to the 23th of May in the Alameda Las Malvinas, in the Peruvian capital. CNG vehicles will be showcased in this event.
