These trucks are fitted with an ISL G type Cummins engine developing 300 hp or 1,166 Nm. The transmission is automatic via an Allison 3000 gearbox. The CNG is stored in the wheelbase, which can contain up to 8 cylinders, or 160 m³ of compressed gas at 200 bars (including the 2 optional cylinders).
Moreover, Renault Trucks has launched a “Clean Tech” labelling procedure in its network of repairers so that customers can be sure of obtaining an appropriate quality of service associated with these new technologies, particularly in terms of specific skills, team training and also the use of specific tools.
The NGV offering is now available in seven European countries: France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway. However, the French OEM is also planning to extend its natural gas range on the Midlum.
