Besides the board of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport, the meeting was attended by Kamaz representatives including Oleg Ershov, General Director of Leasing Company Kamaz Inc., and Rafael Batyrshin, General Director of RariTEK, who showcased several CNG bus models to the officials.
The exhibition consisted of natural gas Kamaz-65116, Nefaz-5299-11-31 suburban bus, and NEFAZ-5299-30-31 city bus, among other models. In addition, the participants of the meeting learned how to service, store and operate CNG vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Transport supports realization of the federal program for purchasing environmentally-friendly buses running on CNG. Tatartsan’s quota is 324 vehicles, including 262 buses, 22 trams, and 40 trolleybuses. 885 million roubles (USD 30 million) from the federal budget are allocated to fulfill this program.
