These trucks are part of a pilot scheme through which Danone food-products will be distributed in central Barcelona, but the company plans to expand the use of green delivery fleets in other Spanish major cities.
As EFE agency reported, Danone intends to contribute in reducing pollution and improving the quality of life of its inhabitants, and also “strengthen the circle of sustainability” in all business processes of manufacture and distribution of its products.
It is worth mentioning that the other NGV fleets are already plying across the streets of Barcelona, as is the case of the local public transport operator’s buses, which surpass the 320 units.
