“This technology allows us to be greener and more environmentally sustainable, not only reducing noise, CO2 emissions and particles, but also being economically sustainable,” Traiglefer president José Manuel Iglesias explained, after completion of six months of testing.
The businessman added: “So far, we have been focused on the area of Valencia. The driving range of the vehicle (about 350 kilometers), needs a CNG refuelling station which, in this case, is located close to one of our client’s hypermarkets.” As reported by Empresa Exterior website, the possibility that these units run across more routes depends on how extended the natural gas refuelling network will be.
Iglesias informed that due to the use of these vehicles, savings of about 10% compared to diesel powered units and a reduction of 37 tons of CO2 emissions can be achieved.
