In addition, Mayor Pablo Zalaquett commented: “With this partnership, we are implementing this new concept of ecological tourism in the city for the community to enjoy our natural and cultural heritage in a different way, what it also means to know the importance of the park areas for the environment, while their protection is also promoted.”
The guided tours will be conducted by a CNG-powered bus, the same type as the 61 currently operating in Punta Arenas’ public transport.
A few months ago, the Colombian city of Medellín also organized free tours and educational activities by a CNG articulated bus from the company Metroplús. Besides, this public transport system plans to add approximately 300 NGVs in the medium term.
