The replacement of vehicles are part of the Plan for Modernization carried out by the Regional Transport Consortium, which has committed itself to renovating 30 percent of the buses that ply across the intercity routes within 2010 and 2011.
The new buses introduced have joined the 20 natural gas powered units already owned by Martín. As a result, the company has 49 NGVs on the road. The new wheelchair-accessible vehicles feature the latest technology in order to provide the best service
The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Antonio Beteta yesterday presented the new CNG buses and said that “in the Community of Madrid, public transportation is equal to quality and environmental sustainability.”
