Since 2000, Ham Group has incorporated vehicles powered by natural gas to its fleet, avoiding the emission of solid particles and reducing significantly the gas emissions in comparison with conventional fuels, thus. Currently, 232 vehicles for transport, 26 vans and other cars belong to the company.
Besides, Ham is an engineering company specialized in the construction of NG re-gasification plants and CNG refueling stations, using the technology of Galileo and LCNG (Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas). “Ham has carried out many CNG facilities for vehicles of public service and in these days is constructing together with Galileo the biggest CNG refueling station for buses in Europe, for the company EMT (Madrid city council transport company), with a filling capacity of 24.000 Nm3/hour,” said Antonio Gómez Ramajo, from the company’s Sales Department, to The GVR magazine.
In March 2009 Ham started up the first GNC & LNG (for trucks) road station. Located in Abrera, in the kilometric point 582 of the A-2 highway, it is opened 24 hours a day. Furthermore, last march the company inaugurated a new CNG station in L’Hospitalet: “A new fact for this project since L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is an important city of Barcelona’s metropolitan area near the high-velocity train station and the airport,” he added.
During June and July this year, Ham will operate two new CNG/LNG service stations: Sant Sadurni d’Anoia (Barcelona) and Area 117 in Torremocha del Campo (Guadalajara).
