The 12-meter Irisbus Iveco Citelis units will be used to cover the city’s historical streets. These were assembled by Castrosua with its City Versus model and have a CNG engine with 290 HP that complies with the EEV certification, reported online newspaper Nexobús.
Besides, they have 27 seats plus 28 standing positions and two wheelchair spaces. The eight gas cylinders are located on the roof, and have a capacity of 162 litres each. The buses also have continuous low-floor, multiplexed electrical system, kneeling side, two ramps for the disabled (one manual and one electric), and air suspension.
Unauto has its own CNG station that, according to Gregory Ruiz (the transport company’s president), can serve the entire fleet in an hour and a half. The businessman stated they have invested six million Euros, both for the fuelling station and the 20 natural gas units, which represent nearly half of the fleet that provides daily service in Toledo.
