Volvo Trucks Dual Fuel System uses both diesel and compressed natural gas together at a ratio of 40:60, resulting in at least 35% savings in fuel costs. The FM400 CNG Dual Fuel is also the first OEM-dual fuel heavy truck in Thailand which offers the same warrantee as other vehicle types of Volvo Trucks over the world. The price starts at 4.5 million baht (USD 147,000).
“What is more important is that engine power as well as engine wear will be similar to the diesel engine because the system is truly a dual-fuel mixture of diesel and CNG, not a selection of one over the other. With this truck, the transport business will be able to keep all the wheels rolling non-stop,” said Jacques Michel, President, Volvo Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
