Due to the lack to pipelines near the city, the gas will be transported from Cabo Frío by special trucks, which use a new technology for the fuel transportation. According to the Grupo Bellas e Barcellos, they are already planning the creation of another CNG dispensing point in the city.
“This is a new achievement of Araruama as before the inauguration local drivers were obliged to go to other cities to fuel their NGVs,” said the mayor of the municipality André Monica.
It is worth mentioning that in the state of Rio de Janeiro drivers who already have their vehicles converted to natural gas or who are about to choose the installation of the kit will have 75 per cent discount in the amount of IPVA (a motor vehicle property tax).
