Córdoba ranks second, with 243 CNG stations (12.63%). In third place stands Mendoza with 147. The last mentioned province added eight facilities between January and September 2012 and hit the City of Buenos Aires, which now has 141 natural gas stations. Santa Fe province comes next, with 135 dispensing points.
In the rest of the country, excluding the Top 5 provinces, there are 389 CNG refueling stations, which represent only 20% of the national network. However, it is noteworthy that in Tucumán, the smallest province of Argentina by land area, there are 85 CNG filling stations -three more than at the end of 2011- ready to serve a significant fleet of 54,107 NGVs.
Back to the natural gas station distribution by province, in seventh place of the ranking appears Entre Rios, with 58 fueling sites, followed by Salta (46), San Juan (40) and Santiago del Estero (34).
