The opening ceremony was attended by Brussels Minister of Transport Brigitte Grouwels and Anderlecht Mayor Gaetan Vangoidsenhoven, among others. Besides, those present had the opportunity to test different CNG-powered vehicles, for both companies and individuals, to check potential of the technology.
The new NGV dispensing point is owned and operated by DATS 24, the filling station network of Colruyt Group, and the initiative was carried out in collaboration with CNG drive coalition, energy company Orange Gas and digital platform Mobimix.be.
It is worth mentioning that NGVA Europe member DATS 24 was also in charge of Belgium’s first commercial compressed natural gas station, opened in the city of Halle last February.
