The construction of the new station, located in Retiro neighbourhood, is feasible because the gas distributor CEG-Rio will extend the natural gas network in the municipality, as reported by Diario do Vale.
The state of Rio de Janeiro continues to expand its distribution network of natural gas in order to be ready for the upcoming sporting events (FIFA World Cup and Olympics Games), which will draw a lot of people.
Moreover, in the city of Japuíba (Angra dos Reis) a new station will be open in less than a month, when licensing procedures are complete. It will be able to supply six vehicles simultaneously and, besides benefiting the area’s drivers, it will promote tourism in that famous city of Brazil.
Last month, the second CNG station in Queimados began operating.
