“The new station represents a further step towards the consolidation of NGV market in the region with the establishment of a supply network that provides the fuel,” said Ronaldo Macedo Lopes, who is the coordinator of the automotive division from Santa Catarina’s Natural Gas Company (SCGás).
In addition, SCGás chairman Cósme Polêse said the arrival of compressed natural gas plays an important role in the region’s socio-economic development “because it is an efficient and competitive fuel.” Then, he added: “With this business in town, the employment will grow due to the establishment of a new industry; for example, the operation of conversion workshops and certification bodies.”
Santa Catarina is the third NGV market nationwide with 135 fueling stations and nearly 95,000 consumers.
