From electric consumption being reduced by over 1 million kilowatts in the past year to recycling in the terminal, Austin-Bergstrom has been committed to reducing its environmental impacts. Besides, the airport parking shuttles, having used propane since the airport opened in 1999, are switching to CNG.
Built and operated by Clean Energy Fuels Corp., the new natural gas station is the second in Austin providing public access, and joins the City of Austin’s Waste Services facility at 2514 Business Center Drive.
Austin-Bergstrom has nonstop service to 37 destinations in the U.S. and Mexico and is among the top airports in North America. It also was ranked third for customer service by the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality Survey.
