“The advantages of natural gas vehicles are obvious: motorists save money when they fill up their cars as the prices for gas as an automotive fuel have been particularly favourable for years. And these vehicles have been proved to be climate-friendly,” said Olaf Rumberg, managing director of E.ON Gas Mobil.
Currently, there are over 90,000 vehicles running on natural gas in the country. “We expect the number of NGVs to rise significantly because of the very favourable fuel price level and the increasingly dense filling station network along motorways,” added the executive.
It is worth mentioning that Germany, through Erdgas Mobil, will host upcoming NGV2011 Berlin, an event of NGVA Europe, which will take place in the Messe Berlin on June 7-9, 2011.
