As reported by the News Agency of YPFB, “San Martin” filling point is the first of the Bolivian state-owned oil company nationwide that sells CNG, and is part of the government initiative that seeks to change the energy grid with the spread of natural gas use.
The new station has a compressor with a storage capacity of 1,250 cubic meters. Its installation required approximately 45 days and involved an investment of Bs 2.4 million (more than USD 340,000). In turn, about 17 more refuelling facilities will be opened until July, including 15 with CNG.
“This modern pump serves all people in the Bolivian Chaco. We also fulfilled the Government’s commitment of shifting gradually from liquid fuels to natural gas,” said Sosa.
