Bolivian state oil company will increase CNG availability by incorporating new pumps in Calacoto and San Pedro filling stations. Between January and August this year, compressed natural gas consumption rose sixfold compared to the same period in 2013, due to a greater number of vehicles converted to the system that are currently in operation.
The department of La Paz had a cumulative consumption of 11.3 million cubic meters of CNG last year in the months above indicated, while that figure reached 64.9 million m3 in 2014, i.e. an increase of 473%.
As a result, YPFB has introduced two CNG pumps with a pressure of 200-220 bar and a storage unit of 1,250 liters in Calacoto filling station, located in the southern part of the city of La Paz.
Similarly, a CNG pump at a pressure of 200-220 bar and a storage unit of 1,250 liters have been installed in San Pedro filling station, in the central area of the same city.
