The construction of this station, with total capacity of 1 million mmscfd per day, is Pertamina’s initiative to support the national diversification program from BBM (petrol) to BBG (natural gas) in which the Government appointed this company through Presidential Decree No. 64 Year 2012 regarding Supplying, Distribution and Price as the operator of CNG supply and distribution in 2012 and 2013.
“I hope that this SPBG will provide maximum service to fulfill the needs of both public transportation vehicles –including Trans Jakarta buses, other public buses, taxis, and bajajs- and private cars,” said Agustiawan.
The facility was financed by Pertamina with an investment of US$3.7 million. Moreover, it is expected to become a pilot station for the construction of other CNG fueling sites that will be built using State Budget.
