It was announced by managing director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Farid Ameri, at a conference about designing and building CNG stations, as it was published by the local web site Presstv.
“Iran manufactures 35 per cent of the CNG equipment domestically”, said the official, who added they have to be self-sufficient not only to meet the country’s domestic needs but also to export.
The Iranian government urged ministries of Petroleum, Energy, Interior, Trade, Industries and Transportation to help expand CNG stations across the country in cooperation with the private sector and scientific centres.
